Pac-12 Men's Basketball Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva - December 4, 2023

The Pac-12 announced its fourth weekly honors of the 2023-24 men's basketball season as presented by Nextiva and voted on by media who cover the league. See below for this week's recognitions and keep track of the 2023-24 Player of the Year watchlist here:

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva (12/4/23)      
Boogie Ellis, USC      
5th, G, San Diego, Calif.

  • Torched the nets in USC's two games, averaging 28.0 points on 62 percent shooting (21-34) including 12-of-19 behind the arc (63%) to go along with 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals.
  • Connected on a career-high and Conference season-high eight 3-pointers en route to 28 points in 27 minutes of action during Wednesday's 106-78 rout of Eastern Washington.
  • Also scored 28 points and added seven rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in an 89-76 loss to No. 11 Gonzaga, going 12-of-21 from the field with four 3-pointers. 
  • Third career Pac-12 Player of the Week award (1/30/23, 2/20/23), most for a Trojan since Nick Rakocevic.

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, presented by Nextiva (12/4/23)      
Myles Rice, WASHINGTON STATE

  • Averaged 23.5 points on 55 percent shooting both from the field (16-29) and behind the arc (6-11) in two Washington State wins to lift the Cougars to 6-1 and a No. 28 debut ranking in the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET).
  • Opened week with season-high six 3-pointers and 28 points in 82-72 victory over Eastern Washington, followed by 19 points and five rebounds in 71-61 win over Portland State. 
  • Sidelined for the past two seasons, including the 2022-23 campaign while receiving treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Rice currently leads WSU in scoring (17.4 ppg) while ranking second on the team in minutes played (30.3 mpg).
