Pac-12 Men's Basketball Performance Awards, presented by Nextiva - January 15, 2024

The Pac-12 announced its 10th weekly honors of the 2023-24 men's basketball season as presented by Nextiva and voted on by media who cover the league. See below for this week's recognitions and keep track of the 2023-24 Player of the Year watchlist here:

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva (1/15/24)                 
Isaac Jones, WASHINGTON STATE      
5th, F, Spanaway, Wash.

  • Averaged double-double of 25.0 points and 12.0 rebounds to lead Washington State to a sweep of No. 8 Arizona and USC, the top two teams in the Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll.
  • Shot 60 percent from the field (15-25) and 80 percent from the foul line (20-25); combined for 15 points on perfect shooting (5-5 FG, 5-5 FT) inside the final 5:00 in the two victories.
  • Opened week with 26-point, 11-rebound double-double (7-10 FG, 12-15 FT) along with three assists off the bench in 72-64 road victory at USC, snapping a seven-game slide at Galen Center dating to 2016.
  • Followed with 24-point, 13-rebound double-double (8-15 FG, 8-10 FT) as Cougars knocked off a top-10 Arizona team, 73-70, for the second consecutive season.
  • First Pac-12 Player of the Week honor, third career Player of the Week accolade in NCAA Division I (two-time Big Sky POTW at Idaho - 11/29/22, 1/10/23).

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, presented by Nextiva (1/15/24)                 
Myles Rice, WASHINGTON STATE                 
R-Fr., G, Columbia, S.C.

  • Averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals to complement Jones in WSU's victories over No. 8 Arizona and USC.
  • Provided 12 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals in road win at USC.
  • Totaled 18 points, including eight inside the final 3:13, to help the Cougars stave off the Wildcats; again added five assists, four rebounds and two steals.
  • Third Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor of season (12/4/23, 12/11/23), tied for most this season.
  • First weekly awards sweep for WSU, seventh sweep for a school since Freshman of the Week award began in 2019-20 (USC 2x, ASU, COLO, STAN, UCLA, WSU).
