Women’s Rowing to Race in Columbus

CORVALLIS, Ore. Beaver women's rowing is back in action this weekend, racing against Ohio State, Minnesota and Indiana in Columbus, Ohio Saturday, April 6.

Oregon State women's rowing opened its 2024 spring season on March 23, hosting the Washington State Cougars and Miami Hurricanes on Dexter Lake winning three of the five possible races.

OSU's 2v4+ squad (Grace Sansoterra, Anna Bledsoe, Elke Thursten, Isabella Mitchell, Zoe Eberle) posted a 7:38.31 to win the first event, while the 2v8+ crew of Nicole Shultz, Kate Worley, Lauren Garrett, Alex Hutchinson, Becca Logan, Anneka Davys, Ashtyn Miller, Harriet Williams and Sasha Delman posted a 6:38.58 to finish ahead of WSU's 6:44.48 and the Hurricanes' 6:59.56 picking up the team's second win.

That momentum continued into the first varsity eight, where the Beavers (Charlotte Gregory, Giulia Clerici, Maeve Donnelly, Evan Park, Rhianna Loughnan, Tulla Angeley, Becky Falash, Torree Hawken and Charlotte Lightfoot) finished in 6:28.6 to take yet another victory.

After sitting at No. 20 in the first three polls of the season, the Beavs have moved up to No. 18 entering the weekend's regatta.

UP NEXT
The Beavers will be back on the road for the next regatta, heading to Charlottesville, Va., to compete against California, Yale, Syracuse and host Virginia.
