The Utah beach volleyball team split its pair of matches on the final day of the ASU Tournament on Sunday. The Utes picked up a sweep over Abilene Christian and later fell to No. 14-ranked Arizona to close out the weekend at the Pera Club in Tempe.
The Utah beach volleyball team returned to action on Friday at the Grand Canyon Tournament where the Utes went 1-2 on the day. Utah picked up a win over Long Beach City College and dropped duals against No. 15-ranked Grand Canyon and UAB at the GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium.
The Utah beach volleyball team returns to action at the Grand Canyon Tournament this Friday, April 5. The Utes will make the short trip to Tempe to compete in the Arizona State Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7.
The addition of the Utah women's beach volleyball team came in the spring of 2017 when the Utes became the ninth Pac-12 school to sponsor beach volleyball. Beach volleyball is an emerging sport and Utah saw this as an opportunity to add the program, as well as a great opportunity for current and future student-athletes.
The Utah beach volleyball team closed out its opening weekend of the season with a dominant win over Feather River on Saturday at the Moraga Commons. The Utes swept the Golden Eagles and did not drop a set at any position.
