The Arizona State beach volleyball team has placed six student-athletes on Pac-12 All-Academic teams, as per an announcement made by Commissioner Larry Scott in conjunction with the conference on Friday afternoon.
UCLA dominates Pac-12 beach volleyball awards
UCLA junior Nicole McNamara was voted Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Player of the Year and is part of the duo that was voted Pac-12 Pair of the Year with her twin sister Megan McNamara, the Conference office announced today. USC’s Tina Graudina was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year while UCLA’s Stein Metzger was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year for the second-straight year.
UCLA claims first-ever Pac-12 beach volleyball title
No. 1-ranked and top-seeded UCLA defeated USC to claim the Bruins’ first-ever Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship crown on Saturday afternoon at the Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. The Bruins did not drop a dual in the three-day event, extending their program-record win streak to 30 in a row.
