USC beach volleyball All-American Allie Wheeler partnered with Lara Dykstra (Pepperdine/Nebraska) to claim gold medals at the FIVB's (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball) World Tour one-star Vaduz event at Rathausplatz on Saturday, Aug. 11. Representing the U.S., the tandem went 7-1 in the tournament to earn their first-career FIVB gold medals.

Sara Hughes-Summer Ross Team to Claim First-Career FIVB Gold Medals

Four-time USC beach volleyball All-American Sara Hughes and partner Summer Ross (Pepperdine) cemented themselves in the international ranks as gold-medal winners at the FIVB's (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball) World Tour four-star Moscow event at Gorky Park on Sunday, Aug. 12. The duo has also claimed a pair of AVP (American Volleyball Professionals) titles this summer (New York City Open and Hermosa Beach Open).

Sara Hughes Wins AVP Hermosa Beach Open with Summer Ross

USC beach volleyball All-American Sara Hughes partnered with Summer Ross (Pepperdine) to win the AVP (American Volleyball Professionals) Hermosa Beach Open on Sunday, July 29. Hughes and Ross pushed their record in 2018 AVP events to 10-0 to claim their second crown of the summer. The duo also won the New York City Gold Series event on June 10 before spending a month on the FIVB's World Tour. For Hughes, it is her third-career AVP victory.

Sara Hughes Teams with Summer Ross for FIVB Bronze in Espinho

USC beach volleyball All-American Sara Hughes and partner Summer Ross (Washington/Pepperdine) claimed bronze medals at the FIVB (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball) World Tour stop in Espinho on Saturday, July 7. The third-place finish marked the highest by Hughes and her first-career medal-podium appearance. It was the fifth FIVB World Tour medal for Ross.
