A Pac-12 institution has claimed the NCAA women’s water polo crown every year since the NCAA began sponsoring the championship in 2001. UCLA dominated the early years, winning seven of the first nine championships. Either Stanford or USC have won the national championship over the next 10 years from 2010-2019. Arizona State, California, Stanford, UCLA and USC compete as members of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF).
