The No. 6 University of Utah cross country team had a solid showing at the 11th annual Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday placing 11th (309 points) in a field of 36 teams that included 19 nationally ranked squads. Competing in its first 6k of the season, Utah topped eight nationally ranked teams that included Pac-12 foe 14 Oregon, 16 Notre Dame and T18 Minnesota.

The No. 6-ranked Utah cross country team was back in action Saturday morning at the Color Country Invitational where they placed third at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course. True freshman Karli Branch paced the Utes finishing in fourth place.
Coming off a huge team victory and upsetting the 1 in the nation at the Joe Piane Invitational last weekend, the Utah cross country team will travel to Cedar City, Utah to compete at the Color Country Invitational. Hosted by Southern Utah University, the meet will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course and is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. (MDT) with the women's 4K race.
