Competing at the Southwest Cup hosted by Arizona State, No. 2 Stanford posted a new national-best score of 420.400 to top No. 5 Ohio State, No. 11 California and a split squad from Arizona State.
Junior Andrew Bitner has been named MPSF Gymnast of the Week following Stanford's victory over California, Arizona State and Washington at the Pac-12 Invitational on Sunday.
Competing at the Pac-12 Invitational from Berkeley, Calif. on Sunday, Stanford posted a team score of 406.600 to defeat California (397.650), Arizona State (389.200) and Washington (366.400).
Fresh off setting the highest score in the nation last weekend, No. 2 Stanford will travel to Berkeley, Calif. to meet No. 11 California, No. 12 Arizona State and No. 15 Washington at the Pac-12 Invite this Sunday at 4 p.m.
After helping to guide Stanford to the top score in the nation last Saturday at the Stanford Open, freshman Brandon Briones and junior Blake Sun have been selected for weekly honors. Briones earned his second MPSF Gymnast of the Week nod and his third consecutive CGA Rookie of the Week selection, while Sun took home CGA Specialist of the Week.
