Huskies Sign Baylee Klingler

The Washington Huskies added another piece to their 2020 roster, signing infielder Baylee Klingler. Klingler, a high school All-American and 2019 SEC All-Freshman honoree, joins the Huskies after transferring from Texas A&M and will be a sophomore this upcoming season. She is the fifth newcomer to sign with the Huskies, along with Jadelyn Allchin, Hannah Dardano, Kelley Lynch, and Brooke Nelson.

For the second time in the last three years, the Washington Huskies earned the NFCA Pacific Region Coaching Staff of the Year. Heather Tarr, J.T. D'Amico, Lance Glasoe, and Whitney Jones were honored as one of 11 regional staffs to win the award, spread across the country.

Marathon Game Goes Against Huskies In WCWS Semi-Finals

The 2019 season came to a close with the 3 Washington Huskies falling to the 2 UCLA Bruins in ten innings in the World Series semi-finals, losing 3-0. The second-longest postseason game in Washington history and its longest WCWS game ever was scoreless until the tenth, when a homer by UCLA's Rachel Garcia ended the game.

Alvelo's Historic Performance Helps Huskies To 1-0 Win

Behind an absolute gem from Taran Alvelo, the 3 Washington Huskies defeated the 13 Oklahoma State Cowboys 1-0 to advance to the World Series semi-finals. Alvelo tied her career high with 16 strikeouts, retiring the side in order five times and striking out the side three times.

Washington Scores Early, Beats Minnesota 5-3

Washington's bats were alive all day as the Huskies defeated the 7 Minnesota Golden Gophers to stay alive at the World Series on Saturday. Washington scored three runs in the first four innings then, after a three-hour delay due to lightning and rain, put two more up in the sixth for a 5-3 win.

Huskies Drop First Game At WCWS

An extra-innings thriller went against the Washington Huskies, with the Arizona Wildcats winning 3-1 in eight innings. Home runs were the difference in the game, with Arizona hitting two to Washington's one solo shot. The Huskies brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the eighth but could not get another run across.
