Buffs encouraged by front-line depth
SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference soccer coaches picked the University of Colorado to finish fifth in the league for the second-consecutive season on Tuesday. The Buffaloes received 77 points in the preseason poll, following a fifth-place ending to the 2018 season (13-4-3).
Ranked No.3 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, STANFORD was voted to win the 2019 Pac-12 women’s soccer title by the league’s coaches for the fourth year in a row, the Conference office announced on Tuesday. Fellow preseason national top five programs UCLA and USC were picked second and third, respectively, in the leagues preseason ranking.

BOULDER – Senior goalkeeper Jalen Tompkins has spent the past two seasons as part of a tandem in net for the Buffaloes. This season the three-time captain is set to take full responsibility in net as Colorado's only keeper with previous experience.
