SEATTLE – The University of Washington men's tennis team was one of six programs to record a perfect GSR score as the University of Washington student-athletes turned in the highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in department history, according to Wednesday's NCAA GSR release. As a department, the Huskies turned in a score of 91 to jump two percent from last year's record-breaking figure, which measures the four-year cohort that includes incoming classes from 2009-12.
SEATTLE --- Washington men's tennis head coach Matt Anger announced the addition of Thibault Cancel and Jack Pulliam, a pair of transfers who will join the team this fall. Cancel and Pulliam will be joining November signees Brandon Wong (Mercer Island, WA), Stevie Gould (Corte Madera, CA), and Kailuhia Lam (Honolulu, HA) on the 2019-20 roster.
TEMPE, Ariz. --- Washington senior Piers Foley was named the ITA Most Improved Senior for the Northwest region as announced by the organization on Saturday.
UW is next in action at home for the final two regular season matches of the year, to face Cal on April 19 at 3 p.m. and Stanford April 21 at 12 p.m.
The Huskies are back in action on Saturday to face UCLA at 2 p.m.
TEMPE, Ariz. --- Arizona State was too tough an opponent for Washington to handle as the Huskies lost by a final of 4-0 in Tempe on Sunday.
