Gymnastics Adds Baely Rowe To Staff

Washington gymnastics announced the addition of Baely Rowe to the coaching staff today, with the Federal Way, Wash., native set to serve as the volunteer assistant coach. Rowe will join the program looking to help the GymDawgs to a third consecutive NCAA Nationals appearance.

Eight GymDawgs Earn WCGA Scholastic All-American

Eight different GymDawgs earned WCGA Scholastic All-American awards, recognizing their excellence in the classroom. Evanni Roberson, Hailey Burleson, Joslyn Goings, Kristyn Hoffa, Malory Rose, Michaela Nelson, Monica Riley, and Zoey Schaefer all were honored for their academic excellence.

Washington Signs Brenna Brooks, Amara Cunningham

The Washington GymDawgs announced two new additions to the 2019 roster today, officially signing freshmen Brenna Brooks and Amara Cunningham. That duo will join a GymDawgs team that will be looking to make it three years in a row reaching NCAA Nationals.

Husky APR Measures Above 980 for Sixth Consecutive Year

SEATTLE – Student-athletes at the University of Washington continue to perform well in the classroom, according to the most recent Academic Progress Rate (APR) data tracked by the NCAA. The data, which was released today, indicated that the program average APR rate for Washington athletics was 988. This marks the sixth consecutive year that UW's overall APR rate measures above 980. Three Huskies programs earned NCAA public recognition for earning rates in the top 10-percent in their sport, including gymnastics, women's tennis, and football, who charted the top APR rate in the Pac-12 for the first time.

Washington Shines But Falls Short Of Super Six

The season came to a close for the 11 Washington GymDawgs Friday, as Washington missed advancing to the Super Six after taking fifth in session two at NCAA Nationals. Joslyn Goings earned an All-American nod after taking eighth on beam, making it three All-American awards in the last two years for Washington.

Washington Returns To NCAA Nationals Friday

For the second year in a row, the Washington GymDawgs will head to NCAA Nationals this Friday at 4:00 pm PT. The GymDawgs finished the regular season ranked eighth in the nation, their highest regular-season finish ever, and will look to build on last year's eighth-place finish at Nationals. Washington will be starting on floor in session two, which will be streamed live on ESPNU.
