The Washington Huskies announced a special Draft Day celebration for nine-year-old Sukie Spottswood, set for Sunday, October 7. Washington, along with national non-profit group Team IMPACT, will sign Spottswood to the team, allowing the nine-year-old to take part in that day's Husky Fall Classic games in the dugout.

USA Softball announced today that Washington's own Heather Tarr will serve as the 2019 U.S. Junior Women's National Team head coach. Tarr has been an assistant with the U.S. Women's National Team for the last two years and helped the team to a WBSC World Championship.

The Washington Huskies announced the full schedule for the annual Husky Fall Classic today, set to take place on October 6 and 7. Washington will host Bellevue College, Simon Fraser, St. Martin's, and Western Washington during the two-day tournament. Tickets for all the games of the Husky Fall Classic will be available at the door on gamedays.

The Washington Huskies announced the addition of outfielder Livy Schiele and 2018 Big East Pitcher of the Year Pat Moore to the roster for the 2019 season. Moore joins a pitching staff that finished second in the nation with a 1.18 ERA last year en route to a second-place finish at the Women's College World Series. Schiele comes to Washington after missing the 2018 season while recovering from injury.

Former Washington Husky All-American Kylee Lahners was named to the USA Baseball National Team Monday. Lahners will compete for the United States at the Women's Baseball World Cup in Viera, Florida this August.
