The Husky Baseball team once again had another stellar quarter in the classroom, combining for a 3.16 grade point average during the fall and earning Most Improved Team among the department's 22 teams. 

Former UW catcher and Seattle Mariners' draft pick, Christian Shewey (1993-96), who attended the UW School of Dentistry, currently runs his practice in Bellevue. Dr. Shewey recently reflected on his time at Washington, how it prepared him for life after baseball and how his years at UW still impacts his life today. 

The Wildcats, returning several key pieces from last season, are ranked No. 26 in Collegiate Baseball's Preseason Fabulous 40. 

Preseason accolades are coming in as the 2019 college baseball season rapidly approaches and UW junior catcher Nick Kahle was recognized as a third team All-American by Collegiate Baseball.  

In what has become a holiday tradition with the Husky Baseball program, players and coaches are gathering clothing and donating it to the less fortunate during the Christmas season.  This has become an annual effort with Husky Baseball and Coach Lindsay Meggs believes the  effort in itself benefits both the needy and his players as they work to give something back. 

This year's LRRP's (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) consisting of Jack Enger, Josh Burgmann, Kaiser Weiss, Adam Davenport, Connor Blair and Leo Nierenberg won the 2018 Omaha Challenge.
