Washington rowers at the 2018 World Rowing Under-23 Championships enjoyed success across the board on Saturday. Five more Huskies qualified for A finals while Chase Deitner '21, rowing in the United State lightweight men's coxed four, won the bronze medal.
Washington rowers had a successful day across a number of events on the second day of the 2018 World Rowing Under-23 Championships on Thursday, highlighted by wins by three different Huskies in women's double sculls heats, as well strong finishes in the men's and women's eights heats.
Washington Rowing's men's eight won its Temple Challenge Cup semifinal and will race in the grand final Sunday at the Henley Royal Regatta, while two UW women's boats – the eight and the double sculls, saw their trip to Henley come to an end.
The Washington men's and women's rowing teams got off to a successful start on the first day of rowing at the Henley Royal Regatta Wednesday on the Thames River as the UW's men's and women's eights each easily advanced in their respective events.
