Colorado, USC share top spot in 2021 Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll

SAN FRANCISCO - In a vote of Conference head coaches, COLORADO and USC tied atop the 2021 Pac-12 Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll. Both teams totaled 22 points, including three first-place votes apiece.

The Trojans, who finished the abbreviated 2020 season as one of eight undefeated teams in the country, enter 2021 as the No. 13 team on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) preseason poll. 

The Buffaloes will begin 2021 as the No. 24 team in the IWLCA poll, just behind STANFORD at No. 23. The Cardinal earned 18 points to take third in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll. 

ARIZONA STATE (13 points), OREGON (8 points) and CALIFORNIA (7 points) rounded out the poll. 

Non-conference play is set to begin this weekend with USC slated to face San Diego State on Saturday, February 13. Conference competition opens on Friday, March 12 with all six Pac-12 programs competing. For more information, including television schedules, please visit pac-12.com.

The following are the results of the preseason coaches’ poll. Five points are awarded for a first-place vote, four points for a second-place vote, three for a third-place vote, etc. First-place votes are in parentheses. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
