Salinda On Top

Stanford mounted a back nine charge and pulled within one stroke of the lead on Tuesday after two rounds of the 73rd Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club.

Suh 64 Leads No. 6 USC In Western Intercollegiate First Round

Senior Justin Suh fired a 6-under 64 while freshman Cameron Henry made his collegiate debut with a 4-under 66 – matched by senior Sam Kim – as the No. 6 USC men's golf team finished tied for second after the first round of the Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif., on Monday.

Senior Isaiah Salinda churned out a 6-under-par 64, his lowest round on The Farm, to spark Stanford on Monday in the first round of the 73rd Western Intercollegiate at Alister MacKenzie-designed Pasatiempo Golf Club.

Less than two years ago, Tiger Woods was uncertain if he would play competitive golf again due to multiple back surgeries. Not only has returned to the game, the 43-year-old ex-Stanford star is a major champion again.

Looking to Build

Fresh off its first team victory of the season, the No. 21 Stanford men's golf team will compete in the 73rd Western Intercollegiate hosted by San Jose State, Monday through Wednesday at acclaimed Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif. It marks the final regular-season event before the Pac-12 Championships.
