CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State rowing programs put the finishing touch on the fall schedule with the annual Orange and Black Regatta on the Willamette River at the OSU Boathouse Saturday morning.
The annual inter-squad competition and alumni races will be followed by a barbecue and tailgate.
Before he was rowing in orange and black he was playing center for his basketball team and playing end on both sides of the football in high school. Tyler Gray may not have started his time in Corvallis as a rower, but once he joined the team he never looked back.
SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon State men's rowing team closed out its competitive fall season at the Head of the Lake Regatta racing to a second-place finish in the Varsity 8+ and a great push toward the end of the 4+ to put a boat in fourth place in the event.
The Washington men's rowing team won each race in which it raced Sunday at the Head of the Lake Regatta, wrapping up the team's fall competition schedule. The Huskies won the collegiate/open men's eight, JV eight, third eight, four and single sculls competitions.
