Senior Carsten Vissering claimed the 100y breast and joined teammates seniors Patrick Mulcare and Alex Valente and sophomore Nikola Miljenic to win the 400y medley relay in the Trojans' 196-93 loss at Stanford on Saturday (Feb. 9).
Carsten Vissering won the 100y breast while divers Caleb Dixon and Brad Dalrymple each posted a second-place finish on springboard in No 10 USC's loss at No. 1 California, 156-126, on Friday (Feb. 8) in Berkeley.
USC's No. 10 men's swimming and diving team hits the road this weekend with road tests at No. 1 California at 2 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 8) and at No. 7 Stanford at noon on Saturday (Feb. 9). The Trojans, Bears and Cardinal are all 4-0.
Senior Patrick Mulcare posted a trio of wins while senior Alex Valente, junior Louise Hansson and sophomore Marta Ciesla won twice each to lead the Trojans to a sweep of Minnesota as well as a women's win over Oregon State at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center on Friday (Jan. 18) as USC resumed the 2018-19 schedule.
USC's No. 9 men's and No. 7 women's swim teams resume the 2018-19 season with their first meet of the spring semester against the Oregon State women and the Minnesota men's and women's teams on Friday (Jan. 18) at 2 p.m. while Trojan divers will compete at the Bruin Diving Invitational Friday through Sunday (Jan. 18-20).
USC's swimming contingent combined to win 17 medals at the just completed 2018 World Championships in Hangzhou, China, including six by Russian Vladimir Morozov, five by Hungarian Katinka Hosszu and four by American Kendyl Stewart.
