Bruce Furniss Inducted Into CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame

Bruce Furniss, a two-time Olympic gold medal swimmer, 10-time world record holder and six-time NCAA champion who helped USC win national titles in 1976 and 1977, has been named one of four new inductees into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame, announced Friday (May 1).

Special guest presenters in the annual team banquet included former USC swimmer and Emmy Award winner Timothy Olyphant, USC Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Matt Leinart as well as fellow Trojan signal caller and Rose Bowl winner Mark Sanchez, Kings of Leon drummer Nate Followill, Sports Illustrated cover model Camille Kostek, YouTube star Zach King, musician and USC grad Zhu and ESPN host and former USC swimmer Ashley Brewer.
