Former Arizona Wildcat and NBA Veteran Richard Jefferson and longtime play-by-play announcer Barry Tompkins join Pac-12 Networks team for mens basketball
SAN FRANCISCO
With the 2018-19 season for mens and womens basketball underway, Pac-12 Networks today announced its roster of on-air broadcasters and expert analysts as the networks plan for its most coverage yet of both sports. Included in todays announcement is the addition of former Arizona Wildcat and NBA Veteran
Richard Jefferson
, as well as longtime play-by-play announcer
Barry Tompkins
to the Pac-12 Networks team.
Having played parts of 17 seasons in the NBA, including for the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, the former first-round selection Jefferson will take part in several game broadcasts for Pac-12 Networks coverage of mens basketball, as well as shoulder programming for studio analysis. The Wildcat played under Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson at Arizona from 1998-2001 and was inducted into the Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor in 2012.
Tompkins, a native of San Francisco, has a long history of calling Pac-12 football and mens basketball broadcasts. The play-by-play veterans resume also includes notable work with Fox Sports, Showtime Boxing, HBO, ESPN and Time Warner Sports Network.
