SAN FRANCISCO - Training camps for the 2023 WNBA season began on Sunday, April 30 and include 28 Pac-12 women's basketball players from eight Conference programs on 11 of the league's 12 franchises.

Stanford (8), California (4), Oregon (4), UCLA (4), Arizona (3), USC (2) and Washington (2) each have multiple former student-athletes in camp, while Oregon State's Mikayla Pivec is with the Atlanta Dream. The Los Angeles Sparks feature more Pac-12 players than any other team, with six of the 17 on their training camp roster from the Pac-12 in Jordin Canada (UCLA), Layshia Clarendon (CAL), Reshanda Gray (CAL), Chiney Ogwumike (STAN), Nneka Ogwumike (STAN) and Karlie Samuelson (STAN).

Preseason games begin on Friday, May 5 and teams have until 2 p.m. PT on Thursday, May 18 to finalize their 12-person rosters. The regular season begins on Friday, May 19.

Last season, Washingtons Kelsey Plum (first team), Oregons Sabrina Ionescu (second team) and Stanfords Nneka Ogwumike (second team) were three of 10 players voted to the 2022 All-WNBA Team. The Pac-12s three All-WNBA Team members tied with the SEC for most among all conferences and the two leagues were the only ones with multiple selections. The three were also voted starters for the 2022 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game in July, the first time since 2003 the Pac-12 had a trio voted to start in the WNBAs midseason showcase.
