2025 Pac-12 Football Top Performers Announced

Conference staff & media select the top performers of the 2025 season

The Pac-12 today announced it has selected standout performers from the 2025 football season who will be recognized as “Top Performers” in the league’s archives and historical records. Completing its second football season as a two-team conference during a unique two-year period of its 110-year history, the league worked collectively to determine a unique fashion for recognizing standout performers among its football student-athletes. Voting took place among Pac-12 staff and media who covered both teams to determine the individual recognitions in each of the following categories.

OFFENSIVE: Anthony Hankerson, RB - Oregon State (Sr.)

  • Rushed for 1,086 yards to become the first Oregon State player to rush for back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons since Jacquizz Rodgers accomplished that in three straight years from 2008-10.  Sixth player in OSU history with multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons.   17th best single-season rushing total in school history and 22nd most rush yards in FBS this season entering the postseason.

  • Five games with 100+ rush yards this season including four consecutive games.  First Beaver to have four straight games with 100+ rushing yards since Damien Martinez in the first four games of the 2023 season.  Martinez also topped 100 yards in the final 7 games of the 2022 season to give him 11 consecutive games with at least 100 yards.

  • Ran for career-high 204 yards in 45-13 win over Lafayette (Oct. 18) with four rushing touchdowns.  18th game in school history with a 200-yard rusher and first since Jermar Jefferson in 2020 vs. Oregon.  Tied school record for rushing touchdowns in a game, done 10 times previously with the most recent being Damien Martinez in 2023 vs. Stanford.

  • 2,168 rushing yards in two seasons at Oregon State after transferring from Colorado to put him 10th on the school’s career rushing list.

  • 24 rush TD in his two seasons at Oregon State, tied for 8th most in program history with Ryan Nall (2015-17).  Most by any Beaver that played only 2 seasons at Oregon State.

  • 10 career games at Oregon State with 100+ rush yards, 9th most in school history.

DEFENSIVE: Parker McKenna, LB - Washington State (R-Sr.)

  • Started all 12 games with a Pac-12 leading 83 tackles with a pair of sacks.  Had 3 games with at least 10 tackles.

  • Recorded 5.0 tackles-for-loss, tied for 2nd most on team and tied for 7th most among Pac-12 players.

  • Picked up first career interception in a win over Toledo and first career fumble recovery in the regular season finale win over Oregon State.

  • One of 23 players in FBS this season with 80+ tackles, 5+ TFL, 2+ sacks and at least 1 INT.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN: Ryan Berger, OL - Oregon State (R-So.)

  • According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), was the Pac-12’s top-rated offensive lineman with a 67.3 offensive rating with a 80.9 pass-block rating.

  • According to PFF, allowed just 1 sack and 1 hurry on 282 pass block snaps.

  • Appeared in 10 games and made seven starts, including the final five games of the season.  Showed off his versatility on the line by making starts at left guard, right guard and center.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN: Isaac Terrell, DE - Washington State (Jr.)

  • Led the Pac-12 with both 7.0 sacks and 12.0 tackles-for-loss, the only player in the conference with double digit TFL.  Had 4.0 TFL and 2.0 sacks at then #4 Ole Miss.

  • Recorded a career-high 28 tackles with a season-high six in the regular season finale victory over Oregon State.

  • Disruptive force on defense with a forced fumble, batted pass, six quarterback hurries and a safety.

  • Appeared in 11 games, 5 as a starter.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Tony Freeman, WR/PR - Washington State (Jr.)

  • Returned 23 punts for 386 yards with a long of 59 and average of 16.8, the sixth-best average in the country and tied for third-best average in WSU single-season history

  • Has seven punt returns of 20+yards and third nationally with five punt returns of 40+yards

  • As a receiver, caught 51 passes for 557 yards and three touchdowns with a long of 48. Had career-high nine catches for 92 yards with a 19-yard touchdown at #4 Ole Miss.

  • Appeared in all 12 games, seven as a starter

FRESHMAN: Trey Glasper, DB - Oregon State (Fr.)

  • Played in all 12 games, making 9 starts

  • Five pass breakups, tied for most in Pac-12

  • Made 23 tackles, tied for most among freshman Pac-12 defensive backs

  • Posted 1.5 TFL, tied for 2nd most among Pac-12 freshmen.

  • Had first career interception against Houston, returning it 25 yards

Washington State will continue its 2025 season with a trip to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, facing off against future Pac-12 foe Utah State. The new Pac-12 matchup hosted at a new Pac-12 stadium will broadcast on ESPN at 11a PT / 12p MT on Monday, Dec. 22. The Cougars ended the regular season at 6-6, clinching their bowl eligibility with a 32-8 victory over Oregon State in the regular season finale. The Cougars were led by their defense that allowed just 12.6 PPG over the final eight games and they enter bowl season 18th nationally in total defense.  The bowl appearance will be Washington State's ninth in the last 10 full seasons. 

Following the 2025-26 academic season, the Pac-12 will expand to include seven new full members with Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State in football and other league-sponsored sports, as well as Gonzaga in men’s and women’s basketball and other league-sponsored sports. The collective nine universities continue to collaboratively chart future conference considerations and business.
