PULLMAN, Wash. (April 24, 2025) – Washington State volleyball senior Katy Ryan was selected to the University's Top Ten Seniors list.

Ryan was a four-year starter and a 2024 Co-Captain. She was a part of four postseason berths, including three NCAA tournament appearances and a Sweet Sixteen in 2023.

This past year she was named AVCA All-Region, CSC Academic All-District for the third-straight season, and Academic All-Conference for the fourth-straight season.

Ryan represented the US Women's Collegiate National Volleyball team in 2022, was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team in 2021, and was a two-time Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

Off the court at WSU, Ryan represented the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) from 2022 to 2024 and was on the President's Committee Advisory Board in 2023.

Her favorite activity as a Cougar has been watching the other WSU sports teams.

"I love sports, and I loved attending athletics events for different WSU sports," Ryan said. "It created a close-knit community. We would have so many of them come out to support volleyball. That two-way show of support was really cool."

Ryan plans to play professional volleyball in Europe, and then return to the U.S. to teach elementary school, hopefully in the Pacific Northwest.
