The 2025 season for Oregon State Women’s Gymnastics was like no other. Led by a trio of seniors all year, the Beavs competed as the lone program in the Pac-12 during the league’s interim two-year period ahead of coming expansion in July 2026 and finished the season ranked No. 14 after reaching an NCAA Regional Final. For their accomplishments on and off the mats, the three seniors, Jade Carey, Kaitlin Garcia and Sage Thompson, were celebrated and announced today by the Pac-12 as 2025 Top Performers, including:
2025 Top Performers - Pac-12 Women’s Gymnastics
Overall Top Performer: Jade Carey – Oregon State (Sr.)
- In a season for the ages after returning for her senior campaign, Carey became the first gymnast in Pac-12 history to win the all-around and beam event titles in every single regular season appearance (12-for-12) on her way to earning the prestigious 2025 AAI Award, recognizing the top senior female gymnast in the nation.
- Named a finalist for the prestigious Honda Sport Award for gymnastics for the fourth time in her career, which recognizes the top women athletes in collegiate athletics.
- Finished 2025 with 51 event titles, capturing all five region championships and placing fourth in the all-around and third on beam at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
- Earned First Team All-American honors in the all-around and on beam, adding Second Team Honors on bars and floor.
- A two-time Olympic Gold Medalist for Team USA and two-time Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year, Carey finished her regular season as strong as ever with three perfect scores the final three regular season meets with one perfect 10 on beam and two on floor.

Specialist Top Performer: Kaitlin Garcia – Oregon State (Sr.)
- Another standout senior star, Garcia competed on vault and floor in each of her 14 appearances for the Beavers in 2025, serving as a key specialist for the Beavs all year.
- Scored 9.900 or better on floor in seven meets this season, including a career-high 9.975 in Oregon State’s win over Fisk University (March 21).
- Scored at least 9.825 on vault in six of Oregon State’s final seven regular season meets.
- Competed for the Beavers in the NCAA Regional Final in Tuscaloosa, Ala., (April 6), notching scores of 9.800 and 9.875 on vault and floor, respectively.
- Put up scores of at least 9.800 on vault and floor in six meets.
- Earned a career-high 9.925 on vault at the Metroplex Challenge (Feb. 21).
Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Sage Thompson – Oregon State (Sr.)
- Also shining bright as ever her senior year, Thompson boasts an impressive 3.986 as she pursues her degree in Psychology.
- Has earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in five separate quarters across her academic career in Corvallis. Named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll twice (2023, 2025) and earned Oregon State Honor Roll distinction in every quarter since Fall 2023.
- Her 2025 campaign featured scores of 9.800 or better in each of her 14 appearances on floor, as well as scores of 9.800 or better in 13 of her 14 appearances on bars.
- Suited up for the Beavers in the NCAA Regional Final, earning scores of 9.900 on floor and uneven bars and 9.825 on vault.
- The award, which is presented in each of the sports sponsored by the Pac-12, was established to honor student-athletes who are standouts both academically and in their respective sport.
