2026 Pac-12 Fall Olympic sports schedules announced

New league’s conference slate and championships announced for men’s & women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and men & women’s cross country

Pac-12 introduces championship events for men’s & women’s soccer and women’s volleyball for first time in its 110-year history


Gearing up for its launch as a new Pac-12, the league today announced its 2026 Fall Olympic Sports schedules including intraconference schedules and championships information for men’s & women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and men’s & women’s cross country. Non-conference action for the new league begins with men’s soccer and women’s soccer in early August while women’s volleyball tips off in late August and cross country in early September. 

Championship events for the Pac-12’s five Fall Olympic sports begin with men’s and women’s cross country on Friday, Oct. 30 in Boise, ID and continue with campus-hosted championships for men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball throughout the month of November. Notably, the new league will be introducing championship events for men’s & women’s soccer and women’s volleyball for the first time in its 110-year history. 

Further details including event start times and how to watch will be announced at a later date ahead of the season. 

Women’s Soccer

  • The new Pac-12 kicks off the 2026 season with all nine full members participating in women’s soccer.
  • The nine members have combined for five NCAA Tournament appearances over the past three seasons, including Utah State and Texas State making the postseason last season as automatic qualifiers.  
  • The eight-match regular season round robin play begins on Thursday, October 1st with four conference matchups:
    • Boise State at San Diego State
    • Colorado State at Fresno State
    • Oregon State at Washington State
    • Texas State at Utah State
    • Gonzaga has a bye on that date and will open their conference schedule on Sunday, October 4th at Boise State
  • The regular season concludes on Thursday, November 5th with four conference matchups:
    • Washington State at Boise State
    • Texas State at Fresno State
    • Oregon State at Gonzaga
    • San Diego State at Utah State
    • Colorado State will have a bye on that date and will finish their conference slate on Saturday, October 31st at home against Washington State
  • The top 4 teams qualify for the inaugural Pac-12 Championship with the semifinals occurring on either Wednesday, November 11th or Thursday, November 12th with the final happening that weekend (Saturday, November 14 or Sunday, November 15).  Both semifinals and the final will be hosted at the same site and will be determined by which Pac-12 school has the highest non-conference RPI (site to be determined at a later date).

Women’s Volleyball
  • The re-imagined Pac-12 launches the 2026 season with all nine full members participating in women’s volleyball.
  • The nine schools have combined for 14 NCAA Tournament appearances over the last six seasons.  Utah State reached the 2nd round last season after winning their conference and finished with a 24-8 record.
  • The 16-match regular season double round robin play begins on Thursday, September 24th with four conference matches:
    • Gonzaga at Boise State
    • San Diego State at Colorado State
    • Utah State at Texas State
    • Washington State at Fresno State
    • Oregon State will open their conference slate that Saturday, September 26th by hosting Washington State
  • The regular season concludes on Thursday, November 19th with four conference matchups:
    • Boise State at Oregon State
    • Texas State at Fresno State
    • Gonzaga at Washington State
    • San Diego State at Fresno State
    • Colorado State will finish its conference season on Tuesday, November 17th at home against Texas State.
  • The top 4 teams qualify for the first ever Pac-12 Championship with all matches occurring on campus at the site of the team with the highest first half conference winning percentage.  The championship will take place the week of November 23rd with exact dates to be determined by the host.


Men’s Soccer

  • As previously announced in March, the Pac-12 announced a collaborative partnership with the Big West which allows California Baptist, Cal Poly, UC Riverside and UC San Diego to compete as affiliate members in Pac-12 men’s soccer beginning in the 2026-27 season, joining full members Gonzaga, Oregon State and San Diego State. 
  • As part of this agreement, each Pac-12 school (including the affiliates) will have three “Big West Crossover” games in October against remaining Big West opponents, overlapping with Pac-12 conference play.
  • These seven members have combined for eight NCAA Tournament appearances over the last five seasons with Oregon State reaching the postseason in six straight years including finishing runner up for the College Cup in 2023.
  • The six-match regular season round robin play begins on Wednesday, September 30th with three conference matchups and one crossover match:
    • Cal Baptist at Gonzaga
    • Cal Poly at UC San Diego
    • Oregon State at San Diego State
    • Cal State Fullerton at UC Riverside (Big West Crossover)
  • The regular season concludes on Saturday, October 31st with again three conference matchups and one crossover match:
    • UC Riverside at Cal Poly
    • Gonzaga at Oregon State
    • UC San Diego at San Diego State
    • UC Irvine at Cal Baptist (Big West Crossover)
  • The top 4 teams qualify for the first ever Pac-12 Championship with the semifinals occurring on Saturday, November 7th on the campuses of the highest seed in each matchup with the final happening the next weekend (Friday, November 13 or Saturday, November 14) with again the highest seed hosting.

Men’s & Women’s Cross Country
  • The 2026 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will take place on Friday, October 30th at the Warm Springs Golf Course in Boise, Idaho.
  • In this first season of the new Pac-12, seven schools will compete on the men’s side (Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State) while all nine schools will compete on the women’s side.
  • In the last six years, the seven schools have combined for nine team appearances at the Men’s NCAA Championships.  In that same time, the nine schools have combined for 11 team appearances at the Women’s NCAA Championships.
