The Pac-12 today announced its initial players of the week for women’s soccer that saw three teams open their non-conference seasons unbeaten, and six of the league’s nine programs picked up at least one victory.
Offensive Player of the Week: MF Amelia Severn, Gonzaga (four goals, one assist in two games – her four goals in a single match were the most since 1998)
Defensive Player of the Week: GK Kailey Carlen, San Diego State (four saves, shutout in win vs. UC San Diego)
Newcomer of the Week: MF/F Campbell Wilson, Boise State (three goals and two assists in a pair of wins for the Broncos and became the first Bronco to score two goals in her collegiate debut since Shannon Saxton in 2007)
