PAC-12 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - AUG. 25, 2026

MEN'S SOCCER
The Pac-12 today announced its initial players of the week for men's soccer including a pair of UC San Diego Tritons, who opened the season with a 7-0 win over Navy.

Offensive Player of the Week: MF Oren Stuppel, UC San Diego (Scored a brace in the opening seven minutes of UC San Diego's 7-0 win over Navy, UC San Diego's most goals scored in a single match since 1997)

Defensive Player of the Week: D Gavin Carlson, UC San Diego (True freshman started at center back and was the only Triton to play the full 90 minutes in the shutout win over Navy)

Newcomer of the Week: F Wyatt Borso, Oregon State (Scored a brace and the match-winner in the win over Cal State Fullerton)

WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Pac-12 today announced its players of the week for women’s soccer including a pair of standouts from Texas State, who knocked off Texas A&M for the program's first-ever win over an SEC foe, and a top-10 victory at No. 6 Baylor.
 
Offensive Player of the Week: MF Helen Alormenu, Texas State (Brace at No. 6 Baylor, recorded both goals in second half to lead Bobcats to first win over ranked opponent in program history)
 
Defensive Player of the Week: D Jenny Ngankem, Texas State (Tallied a goal and two assists in the Bobcats' two wins this week)
 
Newcomer of the Week: F Lea Gentry, Oregon State (Scored two goals and added a pair of assists in the Beavers’ two games this week)
