Campbell Named to FINA Worlds, World University Games Rosters

Junior Katy Campbell will represent USA Swimming at a pair of major international competitions in the summer of 2015, swimming for the Red, White and Blue at the World University Games (July 4-11) in South Korea and the FINA World Championships (Aug. 2-9) in Russia. 

Campbell will be a part of the 47-member squad at the 2015 FINA World Championships. The reigning U.S. National Champion in the 1500 Freestyle will compete in that event in Kazan, Russia.

A month prior to the FINA Worlds, Campbell will travel to Gwangju, South Korea for the 2015 World University Games. The 46-member roster consists of swimmers ages 17-23 who are current college students or recent graduates. With no 1500 Free at the World University Games, Campbell will swim in the 800 Free.

Accompanying Campbell to the competitions will be head coach Cyndi Gallagher, who was named to the U.S. National Team Coaching Staff.
