UCLA to Host 58th Annual So. Cal Intercollegiates

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA men's tennis team will be in action on its home courts this week, as the Bruins are set to host the 58th Annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships from Oct. 29-Nov. 2 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

UCLA sophomore Gage Brymer is the No. 1 seed in the 32-player singles draw, while senior Dennis Mkrtchian is seeded No. 2. Junior Karue Sell is the No. 4 seed, while Joseph Di Giulio and Martin Redlicki are both seeded fifth.

The Bruins also have the top 2 seeded teams in the 16-team doubles draw, with Di Giulio and Sell checking in at No. 1, followed by Brymer and Mkrtchian at No. 2.

Action kicks off on Wednesday with singles qualifying. UCLA's Nishanth Yamani is scheduled to take the court at 10:00 a.m. Freshman Nikolas Ramadan received a first-round bye and will play at 2:30 p.m.

In addition to UCLA, the other schools competing in the tournament include: UCSB, LMU, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, BYU, Concordia, Azusa Pacific and Pepperdine.
