Robin Anderson Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Oct 7, 2014

Senior Robin Anderson of the UCLA women’s tennis team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

Anderson became the first player in school history to win the singles championship at the prestigious Riviera/ITA All-American Championships over the weekend at the Riviera Country Club. The second-seeded Anderson won five matches during the tournament, culminating with a dominating 6-0, 6-2 victory in the final over sixth-seeded teammate Chanelle Van Nguyen. Anderson, who was also finalist at Riviera in 2013, becomes just the seventh player in tournament history to win both singles and doubles at the All-American Championships, as she teamed with Jennifer Brady to win doubles at Riviera last year.

This is Anderson’s first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and seventh of her career.
