Cougars Set to Play in the Dominican Republic

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State baseball team will spend its Thanksgiving Break in the sunshine of the Dominican Republic.

The Cougars are slated to play five games, beginning Sunday, Nov. 23 during their trip. Three of the contests are scheduled to be played against MLB Academy teams.

Dominican National Police Team (Member of Dominican Military League)

Thursday, Nov. 27 (7 a.m.)

Seattle Mariners (Dominican Instructional League)

Washington State fans and alumni who want to follow the trip can do so on wsucougars.com. Tentatively, live stats are planned for the three games against the MLB Academy teams. All games will use wood bats and are scheduled for nine innings.

During the trip, the Cougars will have an opportunity to see historical sites, conduct a youth baseball camp and attend a Dominican Winter League game. The team departs, Nov. 22 and returns Nov. 29.
