THIS WEEK: The Washington State University women’s golf team travels across the Cascades for the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club, Oct. 13-14.
THE TOURNAMENT: The Tacoma Country and Golf Club will play at par-72 with a 6,086-yard track…teams will play 36 holes Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m…tournament concludes Tuesday with the final 18 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.
THE FIELD: Joining host-school Seattle in the 13-team field are British Columbia, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Missouri-Kansas City, Montana, Portland State, South Dakota, Washington, Washington State, and Weber State.
REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE: Competing for the Cougar women will be freshman Alivia Brown, senior Lindsay Harmon, junior Rachel Lewis, senior Kristen Rue, and junior Nani Yanagi…playing as individuals will be junior Monica Huang, sophomore Cherokee Kim, freshman Jamie Midkiff, and freshman Bree Wanderscheid.
COACHING STAFF: Washington State is led by Head Coach Kelli Kamimura in her fifth season…a native of Burlington, Wash., Kamimura spent six seasons with Pepperdine prior to her arrival at WSU…the Cougars are assisted by WSU alumna Emma Betland in her first season…Betland competed for the Cougars from 2010-13.
