Tucson, Ariz. – A four-run third inning propelled Arizona softball to a 7-1 victory in the Wildcats’ final game of the fall.
Arizona finished the fall 8-0, outscoring its opponents 112-9 in the process.
Katiyana Mauga hit her fourth homer of the fall, a three-run fifth-inning blast. Three three-run shot represented three of her four RBI in the game; Mauga also singled in a run in the third.
Michelle Floyd went four innings of scoreless ball in the start. The sophomore struck out five, walked two and allowed one hit in the outing. Siera Phillips followed with a scoreless frame. Trish Parks gave up a run on one hit with five walks and two strikeouts.
Arizona had nine hits in the game, including RBI doubles from Kellie Fox and Chelsea Goodacre.
The Cats open the regular season on Feb. 6.
