Behind-The-Scenes at the Pac-12 WBB Media Day

BERKELEY – Wednesday was Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Media Day at the Pac-12 Networks in San Francisco, and the California duo of Head Coach Lindsay Gottlieb and senior point guard Brittany Boyd went through the media circuit as team’s gear up for the start of the season.

“I am happy to see so many people here, and so excited to be here with so much attention on Pac-12 Women’s Basketball,” Gottlieb said at the start of an interview session with regional and national media. “I think a lot of people are saying it, but it is as deep and exciting as a conference as I’ve been in, and as my first season as an assistant there were six NCAA tournament teams. It’s exciting to see the conference evolve, and I am excited to be part of a conference that will be so competitive.”

California opens the season with an exhibition against Vanguard on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. The 2014-15 season officially gets underway against Pacific on November 16.
