SAN FRANCISCO - Head coach Linda Lappe and senior guard Jasmine Sborov represented the University of Colorado Buffaloes at the 2014 Pac-12 Conference Women’s Basketball Media Day Wednesday at the Pac-12 Network Studios in San Francisco.

The pair spent the day hustling from station to station, ranging from promotional shoots with Pac-12 Network staff to sit down interviews with media members from across the country. Lappe and Sborov represented the team well all day, and especially during a 5-minute live on-air segment during the Pac-12 Network’s two-hour Media Day Special.

Lappe and Sborov were able to spend the day discussing a variety of topics with those in attendance. As expected Arielle Roberson’s season-ending knee injury was an item of discussion. Sborov, herself returning from an injury that forced her to miss half of last season, also was able to update reporters on her progress and that she’s looking forward to a full healthy season.

Lappe informed the group that the team has had a great start to the fall, practicing with a consistency and focus that was sometimes missing last year. She touched on the uniqueness of the team and what each player brings individually to the program.

Most importantly though, the Buffaloes had a chance to tell their story; giving media an inside look. Lappe and Sborov were able to share the emerging theme for the program which is “Aspire2Inspire.” They were able to share stories and ideas, spanning all the unique traits that make up this edition of the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Buffaloes also had some fun at Media Day. They turned the tables on Boulder Daily Camera beat reporter Brian Howell, making him the subject of an interview. The veteran reporter, who was also there to cover the men’s basketball media day Thursday, was a good sport, and turned out to be a decent interviewee himself.

Many of the stations were light-hearted in nature as well. One of the video shoots all participants were encouraged to dance while the room filled with bubbles from a nearby machine. Sborov obliged showing off several talented dance moves. Coach Lappe, well she certainly enjoyed popping the bubbles that were showering down around her.

It’s back to business on Thursday as the Buffaloes continue fall practice. Colorado will host CSU Pueblo in an exhibition game at the Coors Events Center on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m., and officially open the season one week later, hosting North Dakota in the first round of the Preseason WNIT on Saturday, Nov. 15, also at 6 p.m.
