The Blue Hens are struggling offensively, averaging 55.7 points while shooting 29.4 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from three-point territory. Delaware has failed to score more than 60 points in any game this year ... Keep an eye on: Cazmon Hayes (17.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7-23 3FG, 14-20 FT), Kory Holden (11.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 12 assists, 9-11 FT), Chivarsky Corbett (8.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 7-26 FG) ... Delaware finished 25-10 overall and 14-2 in the Colonial last season, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament before losing to Michigan State ... Coaches vs. Cancer Classic Runner-Up Finish
Stanford dropped a 70-59 decision to No. 4/3 Duke in the championship game of the Northwestern Mutual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. The Cardinal was competing in its sixth preseason tournament under head coach Johnny Dawkins and has compiled a 13-9 record in such games. In the semifinals, the Cardinal routed UNLV 89-60 thanks to a commanding edge on the boards and 14 three-pointers. However, Stanford was limited to 36.1 percent shooting the following night against Duke. Chasson Randle was named to the All-Tournament team, averaging 20.0 points while shooting 14-27 overall in Brooklyn.
