Six Earn Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Six Cardinal women’s volleyball players were recognized today when Commissioner Larry Scott announced the annual Pac-12 All-Academic teams.

Earning Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors for Stanford were senior Morgan Boukather, juniors Inky Ajanaku, Madi Bugg, Jordan Burgess and Brittany Howard and redshirt freshman Merete Lutz.

Ajanaku (Tulsa, Okla., human biology), Bugg (Apex, N.C., political science), Burgess (Fort Myers, Fla., human biology) and Howard (Los Altos, Calif., science, technology and society) all garner their second career accolades.

Boukather, a human biology major from Newport Beach, Calif., and Lutz, who hails from Houston, Texas, are being recognized for the first time in their careers.

To be eligible for the selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. Freshman and transfer students in their first season with a team are not eligible.
