USC's Aaron garners Pac-12 men's basketball weekly award

Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week (1/30/17) - Shaqquan Aaron, R-So., G, USC

Shaqquan Aaron earned the Pac-12 Player of the Week award in voting conducted by media who cover the league.

 The 6-7 guard from Seattle came off the bench to lead USC to an 84-76 win over crosstown rival No. 8 UCLA on Wednesday.

• Aaron scored a career-high 23 points in 26 minutes of action, making 6-of-12 field goals, including four of USC's season-high-tying 14 three-pointers, and 7-of-8 free throws.

Aaron's performance helped the Trojans knock off their city rivals for the fourth straight time, lifting the program to its best start at 18-4 since the 1991-92 season.

 It marks the seventh time in 12 weeks that a first-year Pac-12 player has earned the league's weekly honor.
