CORVALLIS – Oregon State midfielder Joran Gerbet has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Gerbet was a driving force in the Beaver midfield, helping control the contest as OSU took down No. 1 Washington in Seattle on Thursday. His performance helped spark Oregon State moving forward and limit the Huskies on the offensive end, as Washington was shut out for the first time this season.
Gerbet has started 15 matches for Oregon State this season, and was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2021.
The Beavers were selected as the No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament Monday morning. OSU will host the winner of Thursday's match between UC Riverside and Portland on Sunday at Lorenz Field. More info on the NCAA Tournament is available here.
