The National Fastpitch Coaches Association named Washington's Heather Tarr to the Board of Directors for 2019 today. Tarr will serve as the Vice President for Education on the board. Tarr is one of seven members of the 2019 Board of Directors.
After finish second in the country in 2018, the Washington Huskies have announced their 2019 schedule, revealing the road ahead to a third-straight Women's College World Series trip. Washington will travel to Mexico to begin the year on February 8. Washington's annual Husky Classic, the first home action for the Huskies, will begin on March 8.
The Washington Huskies will host an open scrimmage on Sunday, October 21, allowing fans to get another look at the Huskies before the season begins. The scrimmage will begin at 12:00 pm at Husky Softball Stadium and is free for all fans.
The Washington Huskies announced a special Draft Day celebration for nine-year-old Sukie Spottswood, set for Sunday, October 7. Washington, along with national non-profit group Team IMPACT, will sign Spottswood to the team, allowing the nine-year-old to take part in that day's Husky Fall Classic games in the dugout.
