Softball History: March 22-28

Corvallis – The 2020 Oregon State softball season may be over, but it allows for the program to reflect on some of the previous successes that have helped build the groundwork for where the program is today. Throughout the remainder of what would have been the regular season, OSU will look back on some key performances that happened on that day in history.

#15 Sun Devils Shutout Fourth-Straight Opponent in 5-0 Victory

TEMPE -- The Sun Devils used a shutout performance from senior Cielo Meza and two home runs to help earn the victory over the South Dakota Coyotes, 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Farrington Stadium. The win improves ASU's record to 22-7 on the season and 18-4 at home.

Softball Moves South Dakota Game to Noon Start Time

TEMPE -- In anticipation of inclement weather in the Phoenix Valley, the Arizona State Softball team (21-7) moved the start time against South Dakota to noon on Tuesday, March 10 at Farrington Stadium. The single-game matchup was originally scheduled to throw first pitch at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
