2018-19 Pride of the Pac: Cal's Kristine Anigwe

Star women's basketball athlete Kristine Anigwe is Cal's female recipient of the 2018-19 Tom Hansen Medal. Anigwe was named the 2019 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year after leading the nation in rebounding with 16.2 per game. Anigwe is also Cal’s career leader in scoring with 2,591 (4th in Pac-12 history), rebounds with 1,404 (3rd in Pac-12 history) and blocked shots with 205 (11th in Pac-12 history). She currently plays for the Connecticut Sun and was selected ninth overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft.
