2019 NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship: Stanford defeats USC, celebrates fourth title victory in six years

Stanford grabbed its seventh NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship title in program history with a 9-8 victory over Pac-12 rival USC on Sunday. Makenzie Fischer was named the tournament's MVP after netting a hat trick for the Cardinal. Freshman Ryann Neushul also came up big by scoring the game-winner to give No. 2 Stanford the eventual victory. Mireia Guiral scored four of the eight goals and goalie Amanda Longan made nine saves for USC.
