Holder is one of four Division I players with a 40-point performance so far this season, erupting for a career-high 40 points (14-22 FG, 5-8 3FG, 7-8 FT) to lead the Sun Devils to the upset of Xavier in the Las Vegas Invitational championship game. Holder is the first Sun Devil to repeat the award since James Harden in 2008.
