Arizona's Shaina Pellington has been named Pac-12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by Nextiva, for Feb. 20. Pellington scored a career-high 35 points on 13-of-18 shooting (.722) with eight rebounds and five steals in Friday's 82-72 win over then-No. 4 Utah, then added 19 points, three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal and surpassed 1,500 career points in Sunday's 61-42 victory against No. 21 Colorado. Her 35 points vs. Utah were the sixth-best single-game point total in program history and is tied for the most in a D1 game against an AP Top 5 opponent this season (Caitlin Clark at No. 2 Indiana; Feb. 9) and is the best in the Pac-12 in such a game since Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu scored 37 against No. 3 Stanford on Jan. 16, 2020.
