Jan 21, 2019
California's Kristine Anigwe is named Pac-12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 29.5 points and 20.5 rebounds per game as Cal completed the home weekend sweep over the Washington schools. Anigwe finished with a total of 41 rebounds in the Golden Bears' two wins, 13 more than any other player in the conference this weekend, while also adding a total of 59 points, four blocked shots, two steals, and shooting 67 percent from the floor. Her 23 rebounds against the Cougars on Friday are the most by any Pac-12 student-athlete in a game in the last two seasons, and her 30-point, 18-rebound effort on Sunday marked the first time in four years that a Pac-12 student-athlete has had 30 points and 18 or more rebounds in the same game.
