Pac-12 Networks' Greg Heister and Eldridge Recasner recap the Pac-12 season opener between USC men's basketball and Washington State in Pullman on Thursday. The Trojans opened the new year with a 65-56 victory over the Cougars and the bright spot in the win was freshman forward Onyeka Okongwu. Okongwu had a game-high 27 points, on 12-of14 shooting from the field, and 12 rebounds in his first Pac-12 action. Isaac Bonton had a team-high 18 points for the Cougars, despite season-lows as a team in points (56) and field goal percentage (27.8%).
