Pac-12 regular season play ends with California football coming away with a 28-18 victory over UCLA on Saturday night at the Rose Bowl. For the first time since 2009 the Golden Bears win at the Rose Bowl and they were led behind sophomore running back Christopher Brown Jr. as he ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. On the other side of the football linebacker Evan Weaver set the Cal single-season record for tackles with 173; he finished with nine tackles against the Bruins, including five solo. UCLA running back Joshua Kelley had 76 rush yards and one touchdown to secure back-to-back 1,000-yard rush seasons – eighth UCLA running back to accomplish that accolade. Cal finishes the season 7-7 overall and 4-5 in league play, while UCLA ends at 4-8 overall and 4-5 in league play.
